Stage set for annual awards night

The Durham Region Music Society will present

its' sixth edition of the annual Durham Region

Music Awards on Wed. Sept. 16th at the

Centennial Building in Whitby.

The awards sbow will feature live performances

and award presentations in several categories to

honor local recording artists. Doors open at 6:30

p.m. with the awards presentations from 7:00 to

9:00 p.m. There will also be an afterparty at the

Serendipity Lounge featuring live music featuring James

Anthony and the Mix. until midnight. This event

is open to the public with tickets available at the

door while quantities last. Tickets may also be

reserved by calling 905_985-4998 and are $10.00

Ea. The Centennial Building is located at 416

Centre St. S. in Whitby and the Serendipity

Lounge is in downtown Whitby, on the east side of

Brock St. just S. of the four corners.
